Who is Jamica?

I'm a proud mother of two and a graduate of Dayton Public Schools.  I finished in the top 20 of my class, but when I got to college, I had to take remedial courses — which caused a delay in my program completion. That moment changed me.  It showed me the gap between what our students achieve and what they're truly prepared for.  
 
Today, I'm a mentor, a connector, and a problem‑solver.  I've always been excited about the thought of working alongside educators, parents, and community leaders to create opportunities for young people.  Now, I'm ready to bring that same commitment I've put into advocating for our neighborhoods and increasing awareness about supportive resources to the Board of Education — to ensure every student leaves DPS ready for what's next.
